Wasa mobile app for bill payment

Rawalpindi: The Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) has launched a mobile application through which users can pay their bills through their mobile phones. Wasa/RDA Vice President Haroon Kamal Hashmi said on Monday.

The launching ceremony of the mobile application was held at WASA headquarters. WASA Vice President Haroon Kamal Hashmi and WASA leaders and employees attended the ceremony. Addressing the ceremony, he said, “Today is an important day for WASA and its consumers. We will launch a mobile app and 6 new public complaint centers. All consumer problems can be solved at their doorstep. Talking about the WASA mobile app, he said, “Not a single penny was spent from the public treasury for the development of the app. And all the work was done by WASA’s own IT experts. For what they deserve to be appreciated.

He said that over the past three years, various initiatives have been taken for the improvement of WASA (Rawalpindi) during which significant revenue targets have been achieved. WASA’s monthly revenue recovery reached Rs 60 million. This was made possible without any price increase.

Because more than 70% of WASA’s customers have pieces of 5 marlas or less whose bills have not increased since 2009.
