Level Infinite has announced a worldwide release for honor of kings, one of the highest-grossing mobile games of all time. Originally published by Tencent Games for Mainland China and developed by TiMi Studios, this multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game will be available to all players by the end of this year.
Level Infinite will support editing for King’s Honor global rollout, with the developers citing closed beta testing underway in July. In 2017, Tencent released a similar version of honor of kings in the United States and Europe entitled Arena of Valor. Now, honor of kings in its entirety will reach the phones of all players. The game is a 5v5 MOBA where players can choose characters from Chinese mythology to create powerful teams. honor of kings has all the mechanics of a standard MOBA where players can take control of a character to eliminate non-player characters and real players. Its variety of game modes is focused on competitive matchmaking such as Rift of Kings (5v5) which is honor of kings‘ the most played game mode.

honor of kings also has many social features like using social apps like QQ and WeChat for its in-game chat integration. There is no clarification if this feature will translate to western chat apps when the mobile game will arrive in the United States, like Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp.
In May 2017, honor of kings became the world’s highest-grossing mobile game with 160 million monthly active users. In 2019, the game generated $1 billion and the following year it grossed over $2.45 billion, making it the highest-grossing game of the year. With the growing popularity of mobile games, it would make sense to bring this much-loved game to the screens of millions of other gamers around the world.
