Shayanne Launches Mobile Tutoring – Post Courier

SHAYANNE Waide is the kind of guy who doesn’t sit around waiting for the chance to knock on the door.

A practical man, he is always on the lookout, always looking for a bite or two of action, or a tangle that will allow him to showcase his skills as a luminary.

At 35 and still single, Mr Waide’s first Facebook casting drew a significant crowd to his offer – science and math tutoring.

These two key subjects are his strong point, and the soon-to-graduate chemist is on his way to a dream start: sharing his knowledge and skills with young people who want to improve their knowledge in the subjects.

This led him to offer free one-to-one tutoring to students over time which started as a habitual hangout with his friends which led him to create an income – his service slowly grew in popularity and demand in his community at Tokarara, Rakatani Street, Port Moreby.

This prompted Mr Waide to set up a ‘Destiny Private Tutoring’ Facebook page where he advertised his mobile tutoring service.

“Two weeks ago I posted the notice and on the first day I received 235 actions and over 20 calls that day,” he said.

The parents have since called Mr Waide and inquired on behalf of their children. “I don’t have a program prepared,” he said.

“First, I do a free introductory session with the students and based on their needs, I write respective assessment reports with citations to their parents.

“Mr Waide charges 50K per hour per child as stated in the assessment report.

Her first four students received an introductory session and assessment reports to show their parents. Mr. Waide is 35 years old and is from Binandere in the Northern Province.

A former mining and engineering student at the Papua New Guinea University of Technology in Lae, Morobe province, Mr Waide will instead graduate from the University of Papua New Guinea this year with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry.

And if you’re wondering about the name, yes, it’s related to famous TV face Scott Waide.
