Will Warzone Mobile be free?
Yes, the developers have confirmed that Warzone Mobile is free. Activision has made this clear on the game’s official site. Much like its cousin, COD mobile, Warzone Mobile will be free-to-play, likely with microtransactions to help support its development.
We also know that Warzone Mobile will connect hugely with Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2. Cross-progression will be available, allowing you to use your Battle Pass unlocks across COD in all its different forms.
You’ll also be able to share your friends list and chat history across games, making it easier to find your friends when playing another form of Call of Duty. You can also expect the same influx of special events and promotional offers that you would expect in COD Mobile.
Will Warzone Mobile have microtransactions?
Like many free-to-play titles, Warzone Mobile will need to be supported by microtransactions. These payouts are usually for cosmetics which shouldn’t affect your gameplay too much, although they may have some impact.
Presmebly, Warzone Mobile will use the same premium currency as COD mobile, namely: COD Points. You can redeem these coins to unlock special loot boxes that contain random cosmetics that you can use on your weapons and character.
