Full-time mobile swim instructor position available. Come join us on the beautiful island of Grand Cayman. Sky Blue Aquatics was established in 2013 and is now the largest swimming school in the Cayman Islands. We teach all of our lessons from the comfort and convenience of the client’s home or condo pool.

We are currently full with a waiting list, which is why I am looking for more instructors. There are many other swimming companies on the island, but we have worked very hard over the past two years to ensure that all of our customers receive personal and more personalized lessons, earning a very good reputation. As the island is very small, it is essential for me to hire someone who will carry on our excellent reputation.

We offer private (1:1), semi-private (2:1) and small group (3 -6:1) lessons. The maximum number of students in a small group is 6 max. We teach from 4 months to adult. Most lessons are 30 minutes long, but we offer 45 minutes or a pro-rated hour if requested. We have a strong focus on water and pool safety.

The employee will work 5.5 days a week, an average of 35 hours. Schedules are based on customer needs. We start as early as 6:00 a.m. and finish around 6:30 p.m. when the sun goes down. The employee has about 15 minutes to get to the next lesson with an average of 45 lessons per week. We try to schedule classes in the same neighborhood to save fuel and time. Weekdays after 3:00 p.m. and weekends are our busiest times.

We use an appointment scheduling software application managed by the office, but employees are required to close each day they work. The employees also take care of the reservation of certain customers for the courses.

This is a salary and bonus job (based on sales). The average net salary is US$4,200.00 per month.

Suitable candidates will need to be certified as a swimming instructor by a recognized organization such as WSI, STA, ASA, ASCA

CPR, first aid and AED certification for adults, infants and children from a recognized organization is also required.

We also require a minimum of 3 years experience teaching swimming.

Must have own car insured. A valid driver’s license is required.

A blank police certificate is required for all work visas.

Must be fluent in English
