Emirates Airlines will accept Bitcoin as a means of payment and adopt NFT – The Mobile Indian

One of the largest airlines in the world, Emirates Airlines plans to accept flight fares in Bitcoin. In addition, the airlines will also introduce a non-fungible token (NFT) on the website for commercial purposes.
The announcement was made by the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Adel Ahmed Al-Redha, who mentioned that Emirates Airlines intends to accept Bitcoin as a payment service. The announcement comes after the company announced in April about the launch of NFTs and its entry into the metaverse.

Al Redha hinted at recruiting employees for his company to help him build apps to monitor customer needs, as reported by Arab News. Al-Redha, also noting the differences between NFTs and Metaverse, explained, “NFTs and Metaverse are two different applications and approaches. With the metaverse, you will be able to transform all of your processes – whether operations, training, site sales or full experience – into a metaverse-like application, but above all by making it interactive.
The report does not say when the airline plans to launch its bitcoin payment service.
Speaking on the air travel industry, Al-Redha said it has rebounded strongly which is evident in the number of travelers. However, he noted that the biggest problem is the availability of resources across the network, but they “are in a better position than other nations due to accessibility.”
Meanwhile, Hyundai Motors recently announced community NFTs. The Hyundai NFT Community will offer its users the Hyundai brand experience in the metaverse by sharing NFTs describing its mobility solutions.
By providing dedicated channels to the Hyundai NFT community, the company will continuously manage the asset value of its NFTs. The online platforms will provide a 24/7 communication channel between the company and community members, with real-time updates on the value of its NFT assets.
