City of Des Moines Launches Mobile Parking App, ParkDSM, Powered by ParkMobile
DES MOINES, Iowa, April 26, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — ParcMobilethe leading provider of smart parking and mobility solutions in North Americaannounced the launch of ParkDSM, a parking application for City of Des Moines. ParkDSM, powered by ParkMobile, makes it easy for people to pay for on-street parking directly from their mobile devices. ParkDSM is now available in monks and will continue to expand availability across the city as new pay stations are installed. Once installations are complete, the app will be available in more than 3,000 spaces across the city. The ParkMobile app will still be accepted for current users.

With the launch of ParkDSM, ParkMobile expands its presence in Iowa where there are more than 73,000 users. ParkMobile is currently available in Amescedar springs, Couchand City of the Siouxas well as on the campus of Iowa State University and the Northern Iowa University. Beyond the state, ParkMobile can also be used to pay for parking in other Midwestern cities, including Minneapolis, Milwaukeeand Indianapolisand in over 500 cities and over 100 universities and colleges across the country.
ParkMobile has nearly 35 million users, is available for both iPhone and androidor can be viewed on the web at https://parkmobile.io/. To pay for parking using the ParkDSM app, users will simply need to enter the zone and space numbers displayed on the stickers and signs around the parking spot, choose the desired parking duration and press the “start parking” button. The ParkDSM app sends alerts when the parking session is about to expire so a user can extend their time right from the app.
