Battlegrounds Mobile India January Update Rolls Out With Spider-Man Theme; Krafton highlights known issues

Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) developer Krafton is releasing a new update for the popular Battle Royale game. As previously announced, the Spider-Man: No Way Home theme is the highlight of the update. The latest 1.8.0 update brings UI improvements, allowing players to quickly choose the match they want. With the update, players can enjoy the new Livik: Aftermath theme until February 14. Once the new version is installed, ranked and normal matches will be displayed separately. The update also adds auto-tagging. Apart from new features, the update also comes with some improvements to the existing elements of the game. Some players have reported issues regarding the January update and the company has offered a fix.

Krafton on Friday announced the release of the version 1.8.0 update for Battlegrounds Mobile India. The update for Android and iOS will bring Spider-Man: No Way Home Theme mode and Aftermath game mode for players. It now has a separate match mode. With this, Season Tier Points will reflect in Ranked Matchmaking, and Season Tier Points will not be affected if the player is playing in normal matchmaking. Krafton has added some changes to the user interface to help users choose the desired match easily.

Another highlight of the new update, Livik: Aftermath mode can only be played in the normal match. It will not hurt the season tire point. In Livik: Aftermath: Firearm and Scope mode, players can stun enemies with automatic fire. Players will get ziplines for fast travel around the map with the new version. Additionally, there will be a communication tower to rescue fallen teammates.

BGMI players can see new supply shops on the map in classic mode, where they can exchange looted coins for supply items. Version 1.8.0 will have an indicator showing the location of the next Supply Crate. Revive items to recall defeated teammates will display on the map. Players must collect ID Cards from defeated teammates’ boxes to revive them.

The new 1.8.0 update brings improvements in firearms. The update also contains some fixes. The shooting direction and aiming issue varied with display resolution, and bullet spread issues have been fixed. BGMI will now let eliminated players swim in water. In addition, in the new version, the name of the place on the map will be displayed in three dimensions.

Auto-tagging to find enemies and auto-jumping with ping are other new things the update buys. Additionally, the company has added improvements to the receipt and outcome of reported cheaters. It will offer rewards to players with high merit levels.

After installing the January update, some users are experiencing issues with the game. Krafton has highlighted two issues and offered a solution for them. Users are recommended to contact in-game customer support if there are any inconsistencies by tapping the arrow in the lower right corner of the lobby > Settings > Basic > Customer Service.
