Aftermath’, ‘Final Fantasy V’, ‘Subway Surfers’, ‘Temple Run 2’, and more – TouchArcade

Hello everyone and welcome to the week! It’s time again to look back at the remarkable updates of the last seven days. We’ve got a bit of everything in this week’s list, except for the mandatory free matching puzzle game. I just couldn’t make it happen this time, and I have to beg your pardon. If Jared doesn’t fire me, I’ll make it up next time. Of course, you can keep an eye out for updates yourself by participating in the TouchArcade forums. This weekly summary is just here to fill you in on things you might have missed. Let’s go for that!

FINAL FANTASY V, $17.99 Final Fantasy Vit is Pixel Remastering is gone, it’s easy to see why Final Fantasy VIit is Pixel Remastering was delayed for a few months. Every bug the team fixes seems to create two more, which is understandable given how many moving parts this particular entry has. The game received two updates last week, one that fixed a few issues and one that fixed a crashing bug at the end that the first update accidentally added. Will Final Fantasy Vproblems are solved before Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster is released? Stay tuned.

Taiko no Tatsujin Pop Tap Beat, A new update for Taiko no Tatsujin means new songs, so what do we have this time? Maybe not a lot familiar to Western gamers, but songs are songs. The 1978 theme song Lupine the Third, the opening to the children’s program Anpanman, another classic tune and several Namco originals. There’s a wide range of difficulties among them, so you’ll have plenty to sink your teeth into. Remember what Anpanman always says: “If you are hungry, you can eat my face!”

LEGO® Star Wars™: Castaways, when you think Lego, you think star wars. And when you think star wars, you think Shipwrecked. Or something. I don’t really understand how this whole game came about, but whatever. This update lets you own your own microfighter, customize your hair color, and take part in a few new activities in the social hub. Build sand castles, go fishing or just relax in the canteen or at the beach. Like in the movies. Luke builds sandcastles while Han and Chewie catch crawfish at the end of the dock. You know.

Cut the Rope RemasteredAlways interesting to see these updated versions of old games get new content. This time, this new content takes the form of a short story with nine new levels to play. Om Nom’s family goes on a trek and certain circumstances are sure to ensue. Head to the desert and see if you can make it out with all the stars and a full stomach. New Cut the rope levels in 2022, my goodness.

Legends of Kingdom Rush – RPG, then you want to play kingdom rush, but you don’t want to commit to line items. This latest release has you covered, my friend. The new Quick-Play Arena mode throws you randomly assigned matches and battle settings to see if you can handle the hordes. Battle new elite units and see if you can earn the top spot on the weekly leaderboard. That seems to be the lot of this update, but I’m sure it will keep some of you busy for a while.

Marvel Contest of Champions, Free We are heading to the Savage Land again, it seems. Toad and Sauron search for their Brotherhood partners when they are attacked by Ronin. They peel it from there but quickly run into the summoner. What is it about? Play the X-Men: Invasive Species event and you will know it. The Lunar New Year is fast approaching and there is a special quest for newcomers. Even if you’re a veteran, you might find some of its rewards worth picking up. Some UI improvements have also been made, reducing the amount of loadouts you’ll encounter and making it easier to see what’s new.

Subway surfers, Free On Subway surfers are on the move again, this time back in Cairo. Hey, a good location is worth revisiting. Take new surfer Hasina for a ride and show off her athletic skills, and try to win the Anubis outfit for Festive Frank. The Atomic Tile board is also offered for those who can get their hands on it as well. There are plenty of rewards and other goodies to collect as you ride the rails among statues and temples. Grab these Event Coins and Tokens to see what you can catch.

Disney Heroes: Battle Mode, Free Hey, more heroes for the Disney Heroes. I find these updates most often include a safe character and a deep cut or two, and this one is no exception. Our new safe character is Anna from Frozen 2, and I’m honestly surprised it took her so long to join the game. As for deeper cuts, Pixar’s Flik and Hopper not so liked toy story followed The life of an insect fill the role. Good, I love. Speaking of bugs, there are also some bugfixes. If I was less tired, I would have made a good joke of it, but things are what they are.

Temple Run 2, Free Freya and Sigur make their long-awaited return for a limited time as the Frozen Shadows once again attempt to claim their souls. Something tells me they’ll get through this one way or another. They’re only here for a limited time, so get in on the action while you can. Recover the lost treasures of the Vikings and try to stay ahead of danger. Take on new global challenges and see if you can bring home some real treasures while you’re at it.

PUBG MOBILE: Aftermath, Free You know, if you had told me that I would sincerely award the coveted UMMSotW price at PUBG-Mobile, I don’t know what I would say. But here we are, and Spider-Man is in PUBG. the No coming home collaboration sees webspinner slam its way into the popular Battle Royale game for high-speed hijinks. Get your hands on a webshooter and get started. There’s a bunch of other stuff in this new version, but let’s be real: it’s all about the Spidey.

That’s about it for the important updates for the past week. I’m sure I missed a few, so feel free to comment below and let everyone know if you think anything should be mentioned. As usual, major updates will likely have their own news throughout this week, and I’ll be back next Monday to recap and fill in the blanks. Have a good week!
